Private Earl Otis Sanford was born February 22, 1895 and died October 9, 1918 from influeza at Camp Zachary Kentucky. Aged 23. He is buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneida. He married Lucy Catherine Koenew April 9, 1918 and lived at 32 Williams Street, Oneida. Joined the US Army June 29, 1918 and was attached to Battery A, 18th Battalion Field Artillery. Survived by his wife Lucy, mother Lizzie and father Daniel Patten Sanford.
